I’m Cass Waldman, a multi-disciplinary designer, art director, and artist. I’m a special breed of rare designer the industry likes to call a “unicorn.” I live at the intersection of the artistic right brain and analytical left brain, where I alchemize design and data, business and art, form and function, science and technology.

As much as I love aesthetics and believe all designs should be beautiful, in my world, if it’s pretty but doesn’t perform, get results, drive business or some kind of behavioral change, it misses the mark.

One of my favorite design horror stories that many of us still remember is the terrible hanging chads from the election of 2000…! (And one of the single best historical cases for hiring a good designer.)

The ideal balance is the perfect blend of design and business, where products and surfaces are not only aesthetically pleasing, but they’re also a pleasure to use, meet customer needs, and drive results!
